Delete your account
Last updated: 24 August 2026
In the app
Open the side menu → Delete account → confirm. The account is deleted immediately; you are
signed out on every device.
Without the app
Write to privacy@chakloon.com from the e-mail address on the account,
with the handle you want deleted. We complete the deletion within 30 days and answer when it is done.
If you cannot write from that address, tell us at support@chakloon.com
and we will find another way to confirm that the account is yours.
What is deleted
- The Chakloon ID: handle, display name, e-mail address, password, date of birth.
- The messenger profile and avatar.
- Media you uploaded, and the drafts, wallpapers and per-conversation settings that belong to you.
- Push tokens of all your devices — notifications stop at once.
- Groups and channels you own are deleted with the account.
What remains
- Messages you already sent to other people stay in their conversations. We cannot reach into
someone else's chat and take back what they received; delete a message before deleting the
account if you want it gone for everyone.
- Technical logs, for up to 14 days.
- Records connected to a report of abuse, for as long as the law requires us to keep them.
It cannot be undone
Deletion is final: the handle is released and the conversations cannot be restored. If you only want
to stop the notifications, turn them off in the app instead — that changes nothing else.
