Chakloon Chat

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 August 2026

Chakloon Chat is a messenger for private chats, groups and channels. It is operated by Haydamax OÜ (registry code 17351554, Tallinn, Estonia) (“we”). This policy covers the mobile app com.chakloon.chat and the web client at chat.chakloon.com. Questions: privacy@chakloon.com.

What we collect

We do not run advertising, we have no analytics or tracking SDKs, we do not upload your address book, and we do not read your location unless you send it in a message.

Where it is stored

On servers we rent in Germany (Hetzner). Traffic is protected by TLS. Messages are stored on the server so that they reach your other devices — Chakloon Chat is not an end-to-end encrypted messenger, and you should treat it the way you treat cloud chats in other messengers. Access on our side is limited to the people who keep the service running.

Who else sees it

We do not sell personal data and we do not hand it to anyone else, except where a law that applies to us requires it.

How long we keep it

Messages and media stay until you or the other participants delete them, or until the account is deleted. Technical logs: 14 days. Reports about content or people: up to 12 months, so that repeat offenders can be recognised.

Deleting your account

In the app: side menu → Delete account. On the web and by mail: see Delete account. We remove the account, the profile, your media and your push tokens. Messages you already sent to other people stay in their conversations — the same way a letter you posted stays with whoever received it.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, have it erased, or object to how we use it. Write to privacy@chakloon.com from the address on the account; we answer within 30 days. If our answer does not satisfy you, you may complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon) or to the authority where you live.

Children

Chakloon Chat is for adults: accounts are not issued to anyone under 18. What we do about child sexual abuse and exploitation is set out in our Child Safety Standards.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect. The date at the top always shows the current version.
